• Personal reflections and journal entries you choose to write
• Verses you bookmark

• Device type and operating system version
• App version number
• Anonymised crash reports and error logs
• General location (city level only — to calculate prayer times)

What We Do Not Collect

• Precise GPS coordinates
• Your contacts, photos, or camera
• Any biometric data
• Your browsing history or activity outside Sila

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve Sila:

• To calculate accurate prayer times for your city
• To sync your data across your devices
• To track your habits, streaks, and identity progress
• To send prayer time notifications (only if you have opted in)
• To fix bugs using anonymised crash data

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles for third-party advertisers. We do not sell your data to anyone.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored on secure servers within the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. We use TLS encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Your personal reflections are stored encrypted.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where legally required otherwise.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict, and object to processing of your data. Email privacy@Sila.app — we respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Sila is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from under-16s. Contact us immediately if you believe a child has provided data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sila app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Sila.

2. About Sila

Sila is a Muslim productivity and worship companion app. It provides prayer time calculations, habit tracking, dhikr counters, verse of the day, and an identity progression system. Sila is a personal productivity tool — it is not a fatwa service, religious authority, or substitute for scholarly guidance.

3. Your Account

• You must be 18 or older to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must provide accurate information when registering
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable

4. Permitted Use

You may use Sila for personal, non-commercial worship and productivity purposes. You agree not to reverse engineer, copy, harass others via, gain unauthorised access through, use bots with, or resell Sila.

5. Intellectual Property

All Sila content — design, code, brand, features, and curation — is owned by or licensed to Sila Technologies Ltd. Your personal data (reflections, habit logs, prayer records) belongs to you.

6. Religious Content Disclaimer

Prayer times are astronomically calculated and may differ slightly from your local masjid. Always verify locally, especially for Fajr and Maghrib. Quranic translations and Islamic content are provided for personal worship and educational purposes. Consult qualified scholars for religious guidance.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Core features are free. Any future premium features will be clearly communicated before any charge. Subscriptions auto-renew and can be managed via your App Store or Google Play account settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sila is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sila Technologies Ltd's liability is limited to amounts paid in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
